Energy Experiment

How I set the ball up is like I tried doing it with cups faced down and put the ball on top.  “I think slower things have more energy,” was my prediction.  When your ball is on a high top like high on the cups, it goes slower, and if it is on a low surface, the ball goes fast.  I tried blowing on the cups with the ball on it, and it moved a lot.  We came to the conclusion that when a ball is going faster, it actually has more energy.

Engineering Project: Sewing!

Sewing helps our students grow in a number of the Next Generation Science Standards. Here is one example. 3-5-ETS1-2. “Generate and compare multiple possible solutions to a problem based on how well each is likely to meet the criteria and constraints of the problem.” Thank you, Mrs. Shedd, for providing this amazing STEM opportunity. We love it here!
