You can make a sunny side egg. First, you get a pan. Then you get salt and pepper. You get an egg, and you put the pan on the stove. You put the heat on, and you put the egg in the pan. You get a spatula and flip the egg. If you think it’s done, then you get a plate ready. If you want, you can get bread and flip the egg on the plate. Grab a fork and you are ready to eat!

If I Were in Charge of the World
If I Were in Charge of the World
(a form change poem with thanks to Judith Viorst)
If I were in charge of the world,
I’d cancel cleaning, napping,
And also sleeping and eating stuff I don’t like.
If I were in charge of the world,
There would be more chocolate cake,
More school and more learning,
And lots of free time and morning meetings.
If I were in charge of the world,
You wouldn’t have to brush your teeth,
You wouldn’t have homework,
And you wouldn’t have anybody to boss you around!
If I were in charge of the world,
I would always eat cake every day.
All people would be my friends.
And I would be nice to everyone and tell them all about God.
If I were in charge of the world.
All About Trees in the Winter and Fall
All About Trees in the Winter and Fall
When I saw fall trees outside
I noticed the trees
Were changing.
The leaves were changing colors.
Now it’s winter,
And there are no leaves
On the trees.
Just snow.
And on some pine trees
There are still pine needles.
In the fall there are
Beautiful leaves,
And you get to spend time
With your family and friends
And have fun in the
Beautiful leaves.
You can hear
The birds chirping and getting food.
You can hear the stream,
And jump in the leaves.
But now it’s winter,
And there are no leaves
On the trees.
Just snow.
